Community Legal WA represents community legal centres in a variety of ways across the sector, such as through the WA Peaks Forum or by collaborating with others around specific issues. For example, safesystems is a coalition of community sector organisations which has been formed to ensure the Western Australian Government is committed to improving the systems that are meant to keep victims of family and domestic violence safe and hold perpetrators to account for their violence.
Many centres have formed partnerships with other community organisations to enhance the service they deliver to clients. Some of these may be formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding or similar document; others are based on working relationships that have been built up over many years or have arisen out of collaboration on a particular project or funding application.
